Edinburgh, one of my favourite towns!

Here is the Castle!  JK Rowlling was there the same day giving an interview, but I didn't get to meet here.  Shame, I had my copy of the final installment with me.

Notice any similarities between the symbol of Scotland and Gryffindor House?

There were lots of stairs.  However, most of them could be avoided if you were willing to walk up or down a hill.

This cafe claims that JK Rowling wrote part of Book 1 inside.  I presume that their coffee is better than their food.

This was a pretty sketchy place...maybe this is where Tom Riddle AKA Voldemort committed his 1st murders?

And speaking of crimes.  Here is proof that the gas companies in the USA are gauging.  Do you see that their prices are falling not rising.  Amazing, isn't it?

The Highlands of Scotland

The view is awe-inspiring!

I am very glad that I took my own Highlands' tour.  These sights went on for over an hour on the train.

Can't you just imagine the Hogwarts' Express traveling on this track?

It has its own story...

This is the "Master" pillar.  After creating this the master went off to Rome to get some inspiration on the owner's money.  It took him 4 years to become inspired.  This just goes to show that regardless of the century, don't ever trust a contactor with your money.

This is the apprentice pillar.  While the master was in Rome, the apprentice made this pillar.  When the master returned he killed the apprentice.  In poetic justice,  his face was carved on the opposite wall so that he will stare at the apprentice pillar for eternity.

Life in Scotland

Did I mention that I could definately live in Scotland?  This is the "Advice Shop."  I could work there.  I have always thought that I should be paid for giving advice...

This is the traditional Scottish breakfast.  It is huge.

Jill made me a special breakfast because I could not eat the traditional one in a single sitting.  It was wonderful.  My breakfast has definately gone downhill since my return home.
